I’ve been struggling with this series for over a month — right before I shot it I had been looking at the the work of Frantisek Drtikol, a Czechoslovakian photographer from the early 1900s. So I course I had to emulate (i.e. rip him off) him by using hard lights. And it works, sort of, but there is some significant Photoshop enhancement going on with the lighting. I cheated.
So I rip off ideas and cheat with Photoshop…. I’m a dog. Or just acting like a professional photographer perhaps?
Mandy K. is a body builder, twice the age of the little ones down below, and just an all-around brilliant model.
I’ll be adding more to this post as I do them. But in the mean time, here is a fun one she wanted to do — and who was I not to make the obvious photo?
It was warm, like 30°F ;-)
