It had been a long, strange Summer and this was the last day as she was leaving and we wouldn’t see each other for a couple of years, until she came back to get married. We had been shooting glass artwork in Ithaca for my friend, artist Eric Hilton. After a notoriously nutritious vegan meal we stopped for some candy and ice cream… and then a power failure plunged the valley into blackness. Except for the Volvo’s headlights and a random barn fire… I only shot one frame.
