Warm up.

The photo of Lynsey was done with my cheap Nikon digitoy and 35/2 lens. Karen was photographed using an ancient brass Verito “Diffused Focus” lens mounted to a 4x5 Sinar. Both photos use the same backdrop and a single light source. Different strokes….

Except for the snap of Sylvia, these were done around the house in short order… nothing fancy.

Lynsey

I think having a well stocked liquor cabinet is important. (One of the few photos I did with the Schneider Xenotar 135/3.5.)

Sylvia

Snapshot of Sylvia in NYC. Went down for a meeting and met up for a freezing walk and warming drink. (Also done with the Xenotar, which was a nice lens but I like something slightly longer.)

Karen

Karen again, this is with the Verito stopped down, where it begins to behave like a normal lens.

Karen

Karen, with the Verito wide open — notice how soft it gets. IMHO I think it is too mushy, so much so that it is hard to focus. I sold the lens shortly after I got the film back from this shoot.
