Two thousands years ago, my ancestor, Petronius, taught these English barbarians proper manners. And the Romans built a wall to keep the truly barbaric Scots out of England. Yesterday we drove for three hours to see that pile of stones. It is about head height, four feet wide, and it stretches the width of Northern England. That’s impressive alright — not as impressive as the Great Wall of China — but no matter, it’s still a heck of a lot of rocks. But I gotta wonder, how stupid did they judge Scotsmen to be that they couldn’t be expected to climb over the wall on a foggy day?
